Note 3M technical service has tested and approves 3M™ EZ Sand Multi Purpose Repair Material (PN 05887, 55887) for use as a seam sealer. Always apply 3M™ EZ Sand Multi Purpose Repair Material (PN 05887, 55887) to properly prepared two part epoxy or urethane primer or e-coat (see paint company guide lines for application and dry time information) scuff the primer /e-coat with a 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ pad (maroon) or sand with P400 then remove sanding dust and clean with a pre-cleaner prior to applying the sealer. 3M™ EZ Sand Multi Purpose Repair Material (PN 05887, 55887) may be directly top coated after scuffing with a 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ pad (gray) or it may be sanded and/or primed for appearance purposes if required. Follow paint application time guidelines posted on the product label. 3M™ EZ Sand Multi Purpose Repair Material offers an eight minute work time and can be sanded with grade 180 abrasives in 15 minutes resulting in an excellent feather edge. The convenient self mixing feature of DMS ensures proper product ratio each use. It is recommended that 3M's Polyolefin Adhesion Promoter 05907 be used when working with polypropylene
